The new role has been introduced as part of the continued growth in the company’s Keystone global retirement technology platform
11/8/2022
Smart has appointed Anish Rav as Director of Retirement, a new role which will be pivotal in building further on the success of its global retirement technology platform, Keystone by Smart.
The appointment comes as Smart embarks on further expansion across the global retirement technology sector. Its Keystone platform already serves more than a million savers, powering the Smart Pension Master Trust in the UK, as well as retirement propositions internationally in partnership with organisations such as the Bank of Ireland and Zurich. The move comes soon after the announcement of a string of successes for Smart, including its expansion into the Australian market.
In this role, Anish will be responsible for the overall design and management of all retirement products, solutions and related platform capabilities, features, and services offered by Smart and its global platform business.
Anish is known as an influential voice in the retirement savings sector, for both his thought leadership and his innovative approach to addressing today's retirement issues. He has been involved in pensions since 1995 and has led the development of master trusts since 2012. Having held senior roles at a number of the UK’s leading consultancies, he now joins Smart from Capita Pensions Solutions, where he was Director of Pensions Policy. He is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and has advised trustees and corporate clients on the issues faced by both defined contribution and defined benefit pension schemes.
Commenting on the move, Anish Rav said:
“I'm delighted to have joined at such an exciting time, building on the great work that has already been done by Smart in this extremely important area. I'm looking forward to working with my colleagues to create solutions that help members guide and manage their pensions and enjoy their benefits.”
Martin Freeman, Platform Director at Smart, added:
"Keystone by Smart is active across the globe, helping more than a million savers make better decisions and put them in a better position for the future as they invest in one of the most critical areas of their lives. Anish is well-known in the industry for his innovative ideas and the great work he's done helping improve employees' outcomes. I've seen at first hand how good he is at turning great concepts into great products. I'm thrilled to have the chance to work with him in our mission to transform retirement, savings and financial wellbeing, across all generations, around the world."

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
